The task

It is tough toil when conferred by a stare Nonetheless it is worth an effort when the request comes from a gorgeous So I walk a line escaping the scare behind Heading for the rose when the world around me has lost ground It is not that bad but what harm to paint when it is all black and white All said life isn’t a battle of Troy There’s place for all – the weak, the strong and the weird And I do not need to magnify, when you see canny ruling the roost It all seem just when Roland Emmerich destroyed the world in ‘2012’

Lease in my life

The last thing on my mind It is a picture of you Flashing so brightly, I cannot resist Oh! How well it has imaged in my heart And it seems you are darting to the point It pinches, but is smooth You are taking me to places, I’ve never been to This is magic Words will fall short, trying my capability out I am falling low The times are great, the need for you strong I will not relent; bar you fall in my arm Flattering, don’t fly Cause your wing, that’s lease in my life

The hide and seek

There are rooms to hide if you want to, there are places to hike if you desire to. The limitation is self created and so always you will have the opportunity to explore. It has been great so far – the hide and seek. I believe if you take all that have happened to you in your heart, you would have never come across to being what you are now. As I continue penning my thought I realised the fact that is it the unexpected feeling of insignificance that has suddenly rushed out the writer in me. It balances me up for the explore mode I am setting into. It is a routine setup; some time you just feel like getting out of it – to the larger picture. You need to be brave. It is a place where you want to serve people. Do something meaningful, which can change lives. It is hard to endure such passion and frankly speaking many have failed. The hardest part is the transformation. We spend our life seeking comfort, safety and security. However, when you set to serve people you will never know what’s h...

Right now

When some one hurls something to you, what do you do? It will depend on what kind of position you are in or probably the kind of person you are. I feel timid, small and negligible but still I am like the kid who believes he will get the toffee at the end of the day. The context will change as you move in life or grow old, but the fire continues to burn fuelled by the never ending bombarding tons of meteoroid; some self inflicted. Where you go, where you stay, where you work, where you party - all these places plays such an important role in shaping up the kind of human being you are. I do not know what my search in life is, but I do know some of the wants. This probably is what we are looking for now i.e. want, and in doing so end up scaling the real journey, the search. The search of peace, wealth, or happiness one never knows. For me, I love the journey and firmly believe that you will always get what you have worked for. No one can take away what you deserve. The experience could be...

Food Tale

Food is an integral part of our life. What kind of food we eat is also primary to what kind of life we are living. I love food and crave for any that’s hot and spicy. Although my friends will not like sharing my veg delights unless it’s a necessity. I particularly remember all the junks that I had in Guwahati in my higher secondary days. Reminiscing that is a total gastronomic cry for the lost crony. The rolls of Pirish, the chowmein of Nakkata Pukhri and the ghoognis of License Bar are the few but the obvious. These experiences are my own Anthony Bourdain moments. The things which make it memorable and intriguing are the incidents attached. I remember the story my brother used to tell me about the owner of the lake side chowmein stall known to all Guwahatians as Nakkata Pukhrir chow. The owner had a very humble beginning and started the business on a paltry sum of Rs 100. I don’t know the authenticity of the story but it had to be hard work and the pure endeavour to serve people that ...

The Charm

A smile, when faked looses its charm Wind blowing across my hair seems foreign The rose no longer red, darn no pain Breaking of dawn starts nothing new Blood flows in veins and the clocks tick inside Living could be dead The place, the moment and the mirror is a lie When truth no longer could hide Standing on a crypt is a creed The soul cry for the lost crony Living could be dead A change that has no affect For wars are being fought alone Though glory shared by all Death is a curse when living And past that realization In a world, in a wilder schemes Rocks hard and sharp are mulish Hear an encore for the farce Where roads are so matted Moon only shines down

My Watch

It came to my life on a day I failed Been with me on my fall and high Seen everything I have seen How important it was to be right on time Drenched with me in every rain and wine It’s been part of me for long to know my time Have guided me for the dating, the weddings and the meetings It made me stand to see it rolling It has seen me laughing, seen me crying, seen me telling a lie Tied with me, it had been very close to me Seen me in love, mad in love For now, it hangs in my window by a nail It’s rest for him May be boring, no beauty to see, no wind thrust him The rains have rolled on and the bars have went dry Hope it forgives the hand because it has no will to rise Other friends of yours have moved on fast, giving no time to catch For that we both rest

Porsche Panamera

The Porsche Panamera made its European debut at the Frankfurt Auto Show. The Panamera marks the fulfilled ambition of the 911 maker to provide a family carrier that oozes sporty style. The four-door Panamera is a proportionate diversion for Porsche well known for making high performance sport cars. However, it would be difficult to raise fingers at this moment as in the past Porsche has humbly managed to put critics to rest when questions were raised against the now hugely popular Cayenne. The Panamera assembled in Leipzig, Germany at launch will be available in three variants – the Panamera S, 4S and Turbo. The V8 normal aspirated versions of the Panamera will come with standard rear-wheel drive, while the turbo model includes standard all-wheel drive with PTM (Porsche Traction Management). Porsche has also announced the plan to introduce a hybrid version of the Panamera; which will probably not hit the road until 2011. The German carmaker looking to sell 20,000 units a year worldwide...
