the old face

this stretch of road is long  with many faces around you reach for an expression confined, as if there is more to lose as with time - the place is again filled with new faces there is no room for the old face the remnant will never be discovered

The wait...

It is not of a day I am talking about But for a timeline for which I have been ignorant Seems to have lost an eternity in being selfish I should have headed home A long time back

Thank you!!!

It had to come one day and from today – Sachin says adieu from playing Cricket for India. It’s a start of new journey for him but end of a 24 years long dream for all his fans. My first memories of him is from scorecard published in Sportstar magazine, which I used to religiously follow and was astonished to see how consistently he used to score runs for India.  With introduction of satellite channels in the 90s we Indian now can easily worship the cricketing God and witness the magic. Who will forget the blaster of 96, 97 and 98, the class of 02, 03 and 04 and the master of 2007-11. Thank you Sachin for all the joy that you brought to our life. Thank you.

the hunger game

it is not a fixture for the weak years of dream is at stake what you lose is your belief there are decision that haunt when all long you have tag along how it looks may end unlike there is a price you pay it will be unfair if only one bears the cost

the reluctant kind

when i reach the extreme when i see there is no road ahead when i feel weak and small when i can only smile i know it is time to let go there has been nothing like there will be nothing like the reluctant love the world behind my closed eyes is different is surreal is something i have concealed is something i have feared to explore is this something i have to live with i don’t know so far the reluctant life the nightmare has been old i have lived it in ignorance for all time and again it surfaces let me defy the consequence to live a life for the kin to explore the extreme to see the road ahead to be strong and big to laugh at challenges i don’t know so far the reluctant kind

the pain within

The pain within Have placed me low I am reluctant to move I am too shy to share And now left with fate There is no ground to stand The assumed mythical presence Is drowning, vanishing fast The drooping shoulder Tells me I have never been a soldier Always fought a war within I have been blatant To an audience that I felt mine But now I fail in open The pain within I am not a master story teller To clear my stance in a laughter Though have raised toast I smile and add a moment or two I tap and I have crooned Taken a face every rain and summer The individual inside Nudge me at time The pain within

Hell over heaven

When I think of heaven, I have always found that I somehow cannot ignore thinking of hell. It’s like when you talk of a song you cannot ignore the lyrics or of evil when good. No one know where it is and how it is and no one either intends to find how it feels like there. And no one can blame us, because from a very early age we have been engineered to hate or dread the word…. Ho wever, if there is heaven then there is certainly hell. With so much traffic to heaven nowadays, I believe most of our generation will like to take the freeway to hell. Somehow, I believe we do not need to take a journey of any kind – we can see heaven and hell right in our day to day life. It is hell for the parents whose kids recently died of poisoning through mid day meal in Bihar and heaven would probably mean a son/daughter fulfilling their parent’s dream. Sensitivity and situation may vary people to people.   It is now time we choose hell over heaven and set things right. Hell will hate not to be...

my thoughts...

Ease your way to the end. Do anyone thy care. When time merry, we croon we tap. Gloom, aloof, irked, lost in realisation. 31 st August 2013   The silence of wrong is encrusted with pain. It is tough when within your world you need to hide. Turned meek, could the wrong live, just a blow away . 19 th July 2013   Another war to confront, a base for life to secure. When it is so hard to be still, a thinking mind makes all merry. 9 th November 2012   Decisions are not easy to take, especially those which involves your well being. 8 th November 2012   We have our say today, as we have something right. 7 th November 2012   The end is near, so it makes me happy. The start is on its way, so it gives me hope. All along I have walked, so my stars are much brighter for me. 3 rd October 2012   We all know each other; the hard part is that we are not sure what others are going through out of all the things we know about each other . 11 th Sept...

what independence means to me

Independence must be a revelation of thought It can be freedom of speech, choice, and religion It can be right to vote or be elected, it can be freedom of expression What it must not be is to temper silence and test patience

Sheer disgust!!!

It is a matter of shame for a civil society and more so for the police department whose sole responsibility is to preserve civic decorum  and protect public life and property. The group of people who took law in their hand in Chandrapur  themselves seems to be intoxicated – intoxicated with a sense of delivering an uncalled justice, sensed an opportunity to be in limelight  and most importantly it was an act without a purpose, simply unacceptable in democracy. The sub-inspector and its entourage need to be strictly punished for enticing and supporting violence. The police force at least handling this situation lacked ethic, and allowed the incident to go out of hand – completely unnecessary. We must not forget that the four youth subjected to unlawful physical abuse are part of our civic society and any breach of rights and morality will impact our so called  সভ্য সমাজ.

Rewind my rust

A blink and I am awake Can feel the coldness of the floor And the silence of a friend who is no more I have managed to turn back the clock Right to the days of dark and gloom Still need a piece of land to till

A getaway of sort

In today’s time we are all looking for a solution to an issue, which would have been a non-issue say 10 years back. In doing so, we have created a circle - making these known and some unknown entity part of our day to day life. Words such as terrorism, environmental issues and socio-political conflicts come to our mind when we think of challenges facing mankind. However, if we closely examine human growth, you would easily realize that we are the one who have created this vicious circle in our mad rush for a solution. We have crushed humanity in our pursuit to become a global superpower, to be the largest economy, to build the fastest car or to invent something unthinkable. What we fail to learn from our past or history of the earth is that everyone cannot think alike or behave the same way. Evolution is key but most importantly it should adhere to respective genetic and responsibilities. Whenever, we divert from our assigned capabilities is then when we invite wrath to...

Two sides of a coin

Most firms or consumers feed on something which stretches their limitation for a service to impress them or simply put tease their intelligence. For instance, take the movie industry; we literally divide it in two platforms - parallel and commercial cinemas. Parallel or art cinemas deal with subjects such as complex relationship, religion, true story, caste or issues that are taboo to a society while commercial films as it says is a potpourri of emotion, laughter and action. Most of us judge the sincerity of a director, protagonist or the technicians based on the cosmetic sincerity or its proximity to dramatic melancholy. We appreciate or feel connected to a performance when it touches a subject which we are not comfortable about. So, we try to appreciate a team who does that. Pat them on the back and say well done! We move on. However, we continue to refrain from the truth - the motive. The definition changes – a critical acclaim may just be enough for an art movie team, while sa...
