A getaway of sort

In today’s time we are all looking for a solution to an issue, which would have been a non-issue say 10 years back. In doing so, we have created a circle - making these known and some unknown entity part of our day to day life. Words such as terrorism, environmental issues and socio-political conflicts come to our mind when we think of challenges facing mankind. However, if we closely examine human growth, you would easily realize that we are the one who have created this vicious circle in our mad rush for a solution. We have crushed humanity in our pursuit to become a global superpower, to be the largest economy, to build the fastest car or to invent something unthinkable. What we fail to learn from our past or history of the earth is that everyone cannot think alike or behave the same way. Evolution is key but most importantly it should adhere to respective genetic and responsibilities.

Whenever, we divert from our assigned capabilities is then when we invite wrath to humanity. A teacher needs to teach, a leader needs to take wise decision for its pupil, and army needs to protect its territory. Each stakeholder plays an important role in keeping harmony, development and sanity across civilization, boundary and generation. This is the ideal eco-system which we need to pass on to our next generation and not a world where everyone is chasing the elusive dream.

There are modern day examples when we have violated these norms and have lived to witness the ill impact. Afghanistan is a failed state (may be it is not right to pass this judgment, when there are efforts to give it a chance) but there are many who will shy away to take responsibility of it becoming one. May be for right or wrong reason the war (Soviet and American aided mujahideens) in Afghanistan took place. And if you look at history there have been many wars but not all of them have led to a ruin as this. The most important issue is the phase after war, i.e. to give survivor a chance to start. The rebuilding and guiding of the next generation of Afghanistan never happened. The Soviet and the Americans used the land to test their chemical arsenal and they left the people of the land to decide their own fate midst death, poverty, disease, and uncertainty. And we all know what this has transpired to.

Let us stop this rush and find our own getaways.
